The bass and drums on the track are another highlight, still capturing Pierce the VeilвЂ™s heavier sound, yet having the ability to apply it to a song that is clearly more of a rock-ballad. A reflective and slower paced song, it is an ode to FuentesвЂ™ girlfriend, who faced negativity and backlash from fans. Definitely a highlight of the album.ДЇloral and Fading is the first track that indicates a new sound by Pierce the Veil. Lyrics such as вЂњbeen counting the stars and scars/how IвЂ™ve become a work of artвЂќ remind listeners that despite all of their struggles, to stay strong and push through. Vic perfectly describes the feeling of helplessness and hopelessness, as well as captures all the emotions that comes with those feelings. This song is another hit, with lyrics that are screaming to be shouted back at concerts. Released nearly a year ago, the song has our first hint at what Misadventures would sound like. The bandвЂ™s lead single off the album, The Divine Zero is still a jam. That being said, it is definitely a song that any Pierce the Veil fan would love. My only note would be that the lyrics, while good, didnвЂ™t completely resonate with me. The song sticks with Pierce the VeilвЂ™s roots and is a headbanger.

Mike Fuentes leads with stellar drumming, the guitar riffs adding another dimension of energy. The instrumentals for the song is absolutely unreal. Released as the second promo single, Texas is Forever has classic PTV written all over it. Vic absolutely nailed the lyrics, perfectly describing a volatile and unhealthy relationship. VicвЂ™s vocals soar in the track and the bass and guitar sound incredible. The slow pace increases into an amazing blend of what makes PTV so incredible. It starts off with a steady almost melodic sound, the piano composition adding a nice touch. I could definitely see myself, and the rest of their fans, screaming the words back in a sold out concert. Not to jump the gun, but Dive In could quickly become my favorite song by Pierce the Veil. It took a lot of patience to wait this long for another album, but what if it wasnвЂ™t good? With a shaky finger, I pressed the play button. As a long time fan of the band (and listening to the album medley released earlier in the week), I knew it would be good, but a small voice in the back of my head raised the inevitable question, what if it wasnвЂ™t? As the wait between albums got longer, the stakes were raised. As soon as the notification popped on my Spotify account, I felt a mix of excitement and inexplicable nerves. Four years after the release of their previous album, Collide With the Sky, Pierce the Veil has finally released their long anticipated album Misadventures.
